These individuals have proven themselves as leaders of exceptional skill and talent, capable of leading our most important formations across the U.S. Army. In addition, these selections also signal the Army’s confidence in their future potential as leaders of character, ready to make a positive impact for years to come. Serving as a flag officer is an honor and greatest responsibility, and your West Point Association of Graduates is appreciative and thankful for these individuals’ continued service and example in the defense of our great nation.
The following officer received a presidential nomination on December 12, 2024
Army Maj. Gen. Brett G. Sylvia ’94 for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general, with assignment as director for Strategy, Plans, and Policy, J-5, Joint Staff; and senior member, U.S. Delegation to the United Nations Military Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Sylvia is currently serving as commanding general, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell, Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
The following officers were confirmed by the Senate on 21 November, and 2 December 2024:
Lieutenant General Christopher T. Donahue ’92 for promotion to the rank of general and assignment as Commanding General, United States Army Europe-Africa/Commander, Allied Land Command, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Germany. He is currently serving as Commanding General, XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Liberty, Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Colonel Jason K. Jefferis ’96 for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. He is currently serving as Deputy Commander, United States Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Colonel Eric M. Johnson ’96 for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. He is currently serving as Deputy Commander (Support), 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York.
Colonel George H. Walter, Jr. ’96 for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. He is currently serving as Commander, Southwestern Division, United States Army Corps of Engineers, Dallas, Texas.
Colonel Freddy L. Adams II ’98 for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. He is currently serving as Commander, Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Joint Base San Antonio, Texas.
Colonel Travis L. McIntosh ’98 for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. He is currently serving as Deputy Commander (Support), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Colonel Kevin D. Bradley ’99 for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. He is currently serving as Director, Next Generation Combat Vehicle Cross Functional Team, Warren, Michigan.
Colonel Donald K. Brooks ’99 for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. He is currently serving as Commandant, Space School, United States Army Space and Missile Command, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado.
Colonel Matthew S. Ross ’01 for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. He is currently serving as Deputy Commander (Maneuver), 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.
