CDTs Charlotte Richman ’26, Emily Fink ’25, and Brian McSweeney ’25 were named Patriot League Athletes of the Week, as announced on February 4.

First, Charlotte Richman earned Women’s Track Athlete of the Week after winning first in the 3000m run and second in the mile at this year’s Star Meet against Navy. Richman won the 3000m with a 9:29.23 time, setting a new Star Meet record and now has the No. 1 time in the 3000m in the Patriot League. She also earned second in the mile with a 4:44.71 time, only coming second to her teammate CDT Mikayla Cheney ’27. The time now stands as the third-best time in the Patriot League.

Rounding out the women’s side, Emily Fink was given the Patriot League’s Women’s Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second straight week. Fink swept the weight throw and the shot put at the Star Meet. She threw a season-best 19.72m throw in the weight throw and easily won the shot put with a 15.43m throw. She is at the top of the Patriot League in both events.

Lastly, Brian McSweeney earned the Patriot League’s Men’s Field Athlete of the Week honors due to his marks for the pole vault. In the Star Meet, McSweeney earned the top spot in the event with a personal best 5.10m mark in the pole vault. The mark also now sits as the No. 1 ranked mark in the pole vault in the Patriot League.

Richman, Fink, McSweeney, and the Black Knights return to the track on February 8 as they head to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the Penn Classic. The meet hosted by the University of Pennsylvania will begin at 11:30am, and will also stream live on ESPN+.
