Swimming & Diving Men Claim Patriot League Title for the First Time in 24 Years, Women Earn Second Place at Patriot League Championships

Army West Point swimming & diving completed their historic 2024-25 campaign Saturday at the 2025 Patriot League Swimming & Diving Championships. The women claimed second place at the meet with 1,246 points, while the men claimed their first Patriot League title in 24 years with a total of 1,611.5 points.

The Black Knights totaled 19 first-place finishes at the meet, including seeing 14 of their individual Patriot League Champion titles go to their squads. For their efforts at the four-day meet, Johnny Crush, ’28, Molly Webber, ’26, and Director of Swimming & Diving Brandt Nigro earned honors from the league. Webber earned the co-Women’s Highest Point Scorer title in a three-way tie with Loyola Maryland’s Lily Mead and American’s Mimi Watts with 96 points apiece. Crush earned the men’s Rookie of the Meet and the men’s Swimmer of the Week titles. He is the first swimmer in Patriot League history to earn both honors in the same season.

After impressive showings from the Black Knights from start to finish, Director of Swimming & Diving Brandt Nigro was named the 2025 Patriot League Men’s Swimming Coach of the Year. The distinction marks the second time Nigro has earned the honor after first earning the title in 2023.
