The West Point Society of Baltimore, in coordination with MAJ Mark Owens, the Southeast Regional Commander of West Point Admissions, hosted over 60 cadet candidates and their families on September 18, 2023, at Reveille Grounds in Baltimore, Maryland. The team responded to questions ranging from basic military protocol to the application process to details about West Point academics and “life as a cadet.”

MAJ Owens’ presentation was insightful and helpful for curious families and cadet candidates. One parent commented that his presentation was informative and ensured that listeners grasped that “life as a cadet” is not always easy. The path forward for a cadet is full of excitement and adventure but also necessitates caution.
