On Sunday, June 25th, 29 West Point Society of Annapolis (WPSOA) members, along with family and friends, enjoyed a power boat ride to the Thomas Point Lighthouse, a National Historic Landmark in Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay. The scenic 90-minute ride out of Annapolis, MD was aboard Watermark’s Cabaret II, a modern 65′ custom yacht.
Consistent with its Vision and Mission Statement, the WPSOA “Serves West Point in Annapolis and Maryland… to develop and sustain programs that promote West Point and support graduates in Annapolis and communities throughout Maryland.” The WPSOA continues to serve West Point through its support of Exchange Cadets, as well as visiting corps squad teams and traveling cadets. WPSOA also sponsors morale-building activities for the benefit of the society, such as dinners, sports outings and local cruises out of Annapolis.
