The West Point Society of the Pikes Peak Region reports that eight members of the USMA Class of 2025, 2d Class Cadets, took their Oath of Affirmation at a ceremony on August 22, 2023 at Polaris Hall on USAFA. The eight members included Spencer Bush, E1; Lauren Guth, A3; Glen Hogan, B4; Erick Rodriguez, B4; Carlton Spivey, E4; Nicholas Clendenen, F4; Landon Coker, G4; and Taylor Whepley.

BG (R) Bob Enzenaur, MD, a member of the 50-Year Affiliation Class of ’75 and the West Point Society of the Pikes Peak Region, graciously made the formal remarks and administered the oath. He was then joined by his USMA Class of ’75 classmates—William Aultman, Mike Heredia, Norm Reinhart, Al Batey, and John McMurray—to present commemorative coins to the newly affirmed cadets.

Also in attendance were the USAFA Commandant of Cadets, Brig. Gen. Gavin Marks, multiple Colonel-level Cadet Group Commanders, as well as dozens of members of the faculty, staff, and Cadet Wing.

After the ceremony, a reception was hosted by the West Point Society of the Pikes Peak Region where 50-Year Affiliation members, society members and other attendees engaged with cadets to share branch experiences and provide support to the Class of 2025 as they embark on their commitment to service and country.
