Led by MAJ Si Park ’11 from the West Point Mathematical Sciences department, 46 Cadets from the Korean American Relations Seminar (KARS) attended the Korean War Memorial Concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Presented by the Ministry of Patriots & Veterans Affairs of the Republic of Korea, the Korean American Culture & Arts Foundation, and the U.S.-Korea Alliance Foundation, this special concert, themed “In Remembrance of Our Heroes,” marked the 70th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice.
The event served as a poignant tribute to the UN forces and their sacrifices during the Korean War, fostering a deeper appreciation for Korean War veterans and highlighting the enduring alliance between the United States and the Republic of Korea.
There are 120 cadet clubs at West Point including athletic, recreational, academic, religious, hobby, and diversity clubs, made possible by donors supporting the Margin of Excellence. The KARS mission is to empower cadets to learn and embrace the Korean-American experience in order to strengthen their sense of identity and belonging, enhancing their West Point experience and the network within the Korean-American community.
