LTG Telita Crosland ’89 Becomes Director of the Defense Health Agency
On January 4, 2023, LTG Telita Crosland ’89, one of only six woman three-stars in the Army, became the fourth director of the Defense Health Agency (DHA), which was mandated by Congress in 2017 to directly manage all military hospitals and clinics around the world and care for approximately 9.6 million active-duty service members, military retirees and their families worldwide.

GEN (R) Frederick Franks ’59 Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
GEN (R) Frederick M. Franks ’59, U.S. Army Combat Veteran and Honorary Director of Home Base Florida, has dedicated his life to serving his country and supporting fellow veterans. During the closing ceremony of the 12th Annual Salute to SWFL Veterans, General Frederick M. Franks was presented with the 2023 Major General Joseph Warren, M.D. Award for his lifetime of service.

Joint Task Force-Red Hill Soldier Bourque ’07 in the Spotlight
Red Hill (JTF-RH) Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS), LTC Jillian Bourque ’07, has 16 years of military service and numerous notable achievements. Outside of serving in the Army and joint force at the tactical and strategic level, Bourque was a four-year collegiate basketball player and a graduate from the United States Military Academy. She balances her duties as an army officer and a dual-military spouse while being a mother of two small children. She attributes her achievements to having a tremendous support system at home, and having great role models to look up to throughout her career.

West Point Hosts Annual McDonald Conference for Leaders of Character
West Point hosted undergraduate students from across the globe for the annual McDonald Conference for Leaders of Character (MCLC). The conference, made possible by the vision and resources of founding benefactors HON Robert McDonald ’75 and Diane McDonald, provides cadets and attendees from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to take part in team-based experiential and analytical exercises to bolster leadership skills, foster critical thinking and collaboration, and explore strategies to address global issues.
