Ring Melt for Class of 2015
Twenty-nine rings were donated and melted this year, bringing the total number of rings in the program to 322. The gold from these rings, along with gold shavings from past melts, was melted and will be used to make rings for the Class of 2015.

Branch Night for the Class of 2014
But after the members of the Class of 2014 tore open their envelopes and saw the branch insignia inside, nervousness became excitement as they finally learned their identity beyond “cadet” in the profession of arms.

Class of 2015 Cow Affirmation Ceremony
The class of 2015 affirmed their commitment to service on August 18, 2013, and took the Oath of Affirmation, binding them to complete their next two years of study and a minimum of five years of active-duty military service thereafter.

Class of 2016 Yearling Flag Ceremony
Cadet Field Training (CFT) for the Class of 2016 might have been cut short because of sequestration, but its concluding ceremony maintained all its grandeur as awards were handed out to top companies and cadets, a Class Flag was unveiled, and a guest speaker gave a motivational address to the rising yearlings.

Ring Melt for Class of 2014
Cadet Jeff Ferebee, President of the Class of 2014, noted that a strong feeling “swept over” him at the Ring Melt. “This event showed a special side of the West Point family paradigm,” he said, “a group of those who have lived the dream and continue to live the dream by giving to us, the ones joining that family—The Class of 2014 is indebted to the Association of Graduates and the donors who made this event possible.”
