Army West Point Defenseman CDT Mac Gadowsky ’27 has been named to the six-member Preseason All-Atlantic Hockey America Team, announced September 17 by the league. In addition, Army Men’s Hockey was selected tenth in the Preseason Coaches’ Poll.
Gadowsky lands on the All-AHA Preseason Team after a breakout rookie season in 2023-24, garnering recognition on the AHA’s All-Rookie Team while also landing on the Tim Taylor Award Watch List during the season, for national rookie of the year.
Gadowsky led all freshman blue liners in the conference in points with 23, 11 more than the next highest total. He recorded 19 assists on the campaign, as his .7 assists per game mark was top-five in Atlantic Hockey. The 19 helpers was also fourth in the country among freshmen defensemen, as Gadowsky was also one of four freshmen in the nation with 20-plus points and 30-plus blocked shots. He was named the conference’s Rookie of the Month for December, after recording eight points in three games including a four-point third period to lead a comeback win at Mercyhurst.
Army will kick off the season with a road matchup at Union College on October 6, before traveling to the University of Maine for an exhibition contest on October 12.
