Following her first career brace, CDT Brigid Duffy ’26 has been named Patriot League Midfielder of the Week for women’s soccer, the league announced September 16. Duffy scored two goals in the span of 3:05 on September 13 en route to Army’s 4-3 win over rival Air Force.
Despite missing the first four games of the season while away with the U20 Team USA Women’s Lacrosse team winning gold at the world championships, she leads the team in goals with four. She also leads the team in points with eight. Her 2.00 points and 1.00 goal per game rank atop the Patriot League so far this season, and her four goals are tied for the third most in the league. Duffy becomes the sixth Black Knight to bring home a weekly Patriot League Award this season.
Army closed non-conference play with a record of 6-2-0. September 13’s win marked the second consecutive season the Black Knights earned a win over the Falcons. It was the first time accomplishing that feat since 1992-93. Patriot League play kicks off September 20 with a matchup against American at Malek Stadium at 5:00 p.m.
