The West Point Coaches’ Character-Building Formula
Using an unwritten formula, West Point coaches have inspired and helped train thousands of cadets to become commissioned leaders of character. What principles would be on the West Point coach’s blueprint for character? It could start, “I am a West Point coach who coaches warrior athletes,” and would likely include an ethos about Duty, Honor, Country and the Army values. Coaching philosophies from each West Point coach would provide additional principles to the formula.

The U.S. Military Academy Orienteering Club hosted a sanctioned USA Orienteering National Ranking Event (NRE) at Camp Shea on April 13 and Lake Frederick and Bull Pond Recreation Area on April 14.

West Point Marathon Team Hosts Half Marathon to Honor Fallen Graduates
Hosted by the Army West Point Marathon team on March 17, the 2024 Fallen Comrades Half Marathon at West Point saw approximately 700 participants conquer a challenging 13.1-mile course in remembrance of 13 fallen West Point graduates.

15 West Point Women Endure 2023 RAGBRAI
When it began in 1973, the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) had less than 300 participants; this past summer, for its 50th anniversary ride, the approximately 500-mile, weeklong ride through the small and midsize towns in Iowa had tens of thousands of riders. Fifteen of those riders were members of the West Point Women (WPW) group, including Casey Moes ’99.
