Every living graduate is familiar with General Douglas MacArthur’s famous dictum: “Every cadet an athlete.” MacArthur, Class of 1903, introduced this philosophy when he became West Point Superintendent in 1919, realizing the importance of physical fitness and intramural athletic programs in the wake of the modern warfare he witnessed in World War I.

Hosted by the Army West Point Marathon team on March 17, the 2024 Fallen Comrades Half Marathon at West Point saw approximately 700 participants conquer a challenging 13.1-mile course in remembrance of 13 fallen West Point graduates.

The National Conference on Ethics in America (NCEA) hosted by the Simon Center for the Professional Military Ethic at West Point was held in Eisenhower Hall on November 15-16. The theme this year was “Developing Judgment: Bridging Theory & Practice.”

Edwards ’97 Selected as 2023 Cyber Huntsville Award Recipient
Summit 7 Systems, a national leader in cybersecurity and compliance, and Cyber Huntsville, a non-profit organization made up of industry, government and academic institutions dedicated to cyber leadership in the North Alabama region, announced at the National Cyber Summit that Scott Edwards ’97, CEO of Summit 7, has been selected as the 2023 Cyber Huntsville award recipient for cybersecurity industry leadership.
