Army QB Daily ’25: AAC Player of the Week & Manning Award Star
The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly football honors from Week 6 of the 2024 season. Army Quarterback Bryson Daily ’25 has been named Offensive Player of the Week. Additionally, Daily was one of eight quarterbacks named as “Stars of the Week” by the Manning Award, sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

Bulls ’78, McDonald ’75, Named NACD 2024 Directors of the Year
The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the authority on boardroom practices representing more than 24,000 board members, announced the honorees of the 2024 Directors of the Year. Herman Bulls ’78 is the 2024 Public Company Director of the Year and the Honorable Robert A. McDonald ’75 is the 2024 Nonprofit Director of the Year.

Sedgwick Monument Renovated Thanks to West Point Class of 1978
Thanks to funding from the West Point Class of 1978, the West Point Association of Graduates renovated the iconic Sedgwick Monument that sits on the Plain, including his lucky spurs.

Record Number of Old Grads March Back with Class of 2028
Old Grads marched alongside new cadets from the West Point Class of 2028 as they concluded their Cadet Basic Training with a 12-mile road march from Lake Frederick to West Point on Monday, August 12.

“Duty, Honor, Country” Meets “Faster, Higher, Stronger”
Every living graduate is familiar with General Douglas MacArthur’s famous dictum: “Every cadet an athlete.” MacArthur, Class of 1903, introduced this philosophy when he became West Point Superintendent in 1919, realizing the importance of physical fitness and intramural athletic programs in the wake of the modern warfare he witnessed in World War I.

West Point Graduates Honor Fallen Heroes On 80th Anniversary of D-Day
In June 2024, LTC (R) Hank R. Fore ’78 joined other members of the Long Gray Line, along with veterans from around the globe in honoring the fallen during the 80th Anniversary of D-Day. This anniversary is likely the last major anniversary that World War II veterans will still be able to attend. In honor of this momentous occasion and those that lost their lives on the beaches of Normandy, several West Point graduates did a static-line parachute jump out of a World War II-era C-47.

Class of 2028 Begins Their West Point Journey at R-Day
More than 1,200 U.S. citizens and 16 international students, including 280 women, and 445 minorities reported to the U.S. Military Academy on July 1 for Reception Day to join West Point’s Class of 2028.
