1939 Class History
Most of the Class of 1939 entered the United States Military Academy on July 1st, 1935 during the Great Depression and 456 graduated on June 12, 1939 – the first class to graduate in the newly constructed Fieldhouse. President Franklin D. Roosevelt presented diplomas to 338 graduates commissioned into the Army and 118 who joined the Army Air Corps.
