CDT Gregory Kies ’24 of Plainview, NY was introduced by his Assemblymember, Charles Lavine as part of West Point Day on April 26, 2023. Kies was joined by several other cadets from around the state for the ceremony in the Assembly Chamber and luncheon which followed.
A member of the Plainview-Old Bethpage John F Kennedy High School, Class of 2020, Kies is majoring in Geospatial Information Science with the intention of being commissioned as a field artillery or armor officer. While at West Point, he has had the opportunity to travel to Spain to work with the Spanish military, in addition to completing Air Assault and the Army Space Cadre Basic Course. Kies is also an active member of the Army Orienteering Team. He is expected to graduate in 2024.
