Seven new members were inducted into the Lancaster High School Gary Mauller Athletic Wall of Honor on Friday. Bryan Bowdish ’01 – Lancaster High School Class of 1997 was Football – Team Captain 1995 & 1996, averaged 12.1 yards/catch and scored 15 career touchdowns. Averaged 34.5 yards/kickoff return (1 TD) and 4.6 yards/carry (8 TD), 1st Team All-Central District, selected to play in the Ohio North/South All-Star Game. He also played basketball – Team Captain 1996-97, 195 career assists and 104 career steals. Led his team in assists and steals for 3 years, 1st Team All-Central District. At USMA he played West Point Football – Team Captain 2000, averaged 12.1 yards/catch. Recipient of the General Creighton Abrams Memorial Award for Leadership, and Army Football Ranger Award for Leadership. 2001 Graduate United States Military Academy at West Point, commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant. He completed two combat tours in Iraq (2003, 2005) and earned a Bronze Star Medal. Read more.
