The Army West Point Men’s Lacrosse team (4-0) dominated Mercer (1-3) 17-4 in Naples, Florida, on February 22.
Leading the way for the Black Knights was CDT Jackson Eicher ’25, who recorded a team-high seven points with three goals and four assists. CDT Gunnar Fellows ’26 contributed six points (four goals, two assists), while freshman sensation CDT Brayden Fountain ’28 added five goals.
In the faceoff circle, CDT Will Coletti ’25 took nine faceoffs—going 9-for-9—and also contributed a goal. CDT Robert Simone ’27 replaced Coletti and won six of 11 faceoffs.
In goal, CDT Sean Byrne ’26 played 45 minutes and recorded nine saves, allowing just three goals.
Defensively, long-stick midfielder CDT Ryan Nixon ’25 led with four ground balls and a forced turnover, while CDT Casey Reynolds ’25 and AJ Pilate ’25 each forced two turnovers.
Army will host Lafayette on March 1 at 12:00pm at Michie Stadium to kick off their 2025 Patriot League campaign.
