Army West Point football has officially become a member of the American Athletic Conference as of July 1, the start of the new league year.
It was announced in October 2023 that Army had accepted an invitation to join the American Athletic Conference (AAC) in football only, beginning in the 2024 season.
In its first year in conference play, Army will play an eight-game slate, hosting Rice, UAB, East Carolina, and UTSA while hitting the road to play FAU, Temple, Tulsa, and North Texas.
Army’s first AAC test will come on the road at Florida Atlantic on September 7.
Army football will continue its TV rights partnership with CBS Sports Network through 2028, as the exclusive home for Army’s home game schedule. View TV schedule.
The annual Army-Navy Game presented by USAA will not be counted as a conference game as the rights remain with both institutions. Army and Navy would meet in the American Athletic Conference Championship Game, however, if both teams qualify.
