Anderson ’78 Honored by America’s Future Series

The America’s Future Series (AFS) announced that Darcy Anderson ’78, Vice Chairman of Hillwood and long-time advocate for the U.S. military and Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army, is the recipient of the prestigious 2024 5-Star Award honoring individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to leadership, service, and the defense of our nation’s values.

In introducing his longtime friend and colleague, Ross Perot, Jr. shared that Anderson had been a cornerstone of Hillwood’s success for over 40 years, and his dedication to our nation’s military and veterans is unmatched.

“Whether it’s his leadership at West Point, his role in developing AllianceTexas, or his tireless support for veterans, Darcy embodies the values of ‘Duty, Honor, Country’ in every aspect of his life. It’s an honor to recognize him as a 5-Star Award recipient,” said Perot.

“Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to work alongside some of the most dedicated and courageous individuals in both the private sector and our military,” said Anderson. “My commitment to serving our nation, our veterans, and our military community has always been driven by the values instilled in me by my family and my experiences at West Point. I’m truly honored by this recognition.”

America’s Future Series is a non-political speaker series that creates forums for civil discussions on issues impacting U.S. Global Competitiveness & National Security. The organization is dedicated to honoring individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the defense of liberty and national security.
