Recognition
To honor and recognize donors for their continued support of West Point and the Corps of Cadets, West Point Association of Graduates offers membership to five distinct giving societies. Donors are recognized for generous annual gifts, planned or estate gifts, and lifetime cumulative giving to the Academy.
Lifetime Giving Societies
The Lifetime Giving Societies are the premier recognition categories for the West Point Association of Graduates. The total of all gifts received by West Point or the Association during a donor’s lifetime determines membership in this giving society. The generosity of these donors has been transformational for the Academy.
Cullum Society
The Cullum Society celebrates gracious donors who have either given or committed to a planned or estate gift of $25,000 or more to benefit the Academy or the Association. This society is named in honor of Brevet General George Washington Cullum, class of 1833, who made the first planned gift to West Point.
Superintendent’s Circle
The Superintendent’s Circle celebrates those who have made annual gifts of $1,000 or more to the Superintendent’s Annual Fund or the West Point Parents Fund. These donors are recognized for supporting Margin of Excellence programs through annual unrestricted giving.
Chairman’s Circle
The Chairman’s Circle recognizes donors for annual gifts of $1,000 or more to the Long Gray Line Fund, which supports the Association of Graduates, Herbert Hall, and all programs that benefit West Point alumni and their families. The Long Gray Line Fund ensures that graduates remain connected to the Academy and to their Rockbound Highland Home.
1802 Circle
The 1802 Circle is WPAOG’s annual giving society that recognizes donors for their consistent support of West Point. 1802 Circle membership is offered to donors who make a gift of any size to WPAOG for four consecutive years. Membership then remains if subsequent donations are made annually.
