West Point Werx Innovation Hub: Nested within the Army’s Innovation Ecosystem
On September 20, 2024, WPAOG and Academy leaders joined distinguished guests at the dedication of the West Point Werx Innovation Hub in Taylor Hall. The Werx enhances cadet leader development by bringing together cadets, faculty, and partners in an environment that deliberately fosters the creativity, collaboration, integration, and synchronization of ideas.

Groundbreaking: Michie Stadium Preservation Project Begins
The West Point Association of Graduates and Army West Point Athletics celebrated the historic groundbreaking of the Michie Stadium Preservation Project on August 14. This largest donor-funded project will rebuild and modernize the current East Stands, preserving the stadium’s rich 100-year history while providing a world-class experience for cadets, graduates, families, and fans alike.

The Seymour Family Parachute Team Endowment
Many cadets play sports for the rush of adrenaline. However, few cadet-athletes can claim to find their adrenaline rush where members of the West Point Parachute Team regularly find theirs—at 12,000 feet above the ground in freefall. Founded in 1959, the West Point Parachute Team is one of the oldest continuously operating parachute teams in the U.S. military.

West Point Classes of 1984, 2004, 2014 Give Back
The West Point Classes of 1984, 2004 and 2014 joined the long tradition of giving back to West Point. In a collective effort, these classes engaged in fundraising campaigns in the years leading up to milestone reunions, where they presented class gifts to their Alma Mater.

Egner Hall Building Dedication
On October 24, in partnership with the Academy and the Directorate of Cadet Activities, WPAOG celebrated the ribbon-cutting for the renovation of Egner Hall, home to the West Point Band, Glee Club, and Spirit Band. Egner Hall, synonymous with music at West Point, now boasts modern rehearsal spaces, a digital acoustic system, and enhanced recording capabilities.

Stokes Fellows Program
As a high school student, West Point cadet, and throughout his distinguished military career, MG John Harrison Stokes, Jr., Class of 1918, demonstrated excellence across domains. Now, this legacy will be honored through the Stokes Fellows Program and will serve to educate and inspire cadets for generations to come.
