Notice is hereby given that the 2024 Annual Meeting for regular members of the West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) will take place on Tuesday, November 19 at 5:00 pm Eastern Time in the Herbert Hall Alumni Center, 698 Mills Road, West Point, New York 10996. The business of the meeting will be to elect a Chair, Vice-Chair, five members to our Board of Directors, and six Advisors at Large.

The West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) has named the 2012 recipients of the Distinguished Graduate Award. This annual award has been bestowed upon those West Point graduates whose character, distinguished service, and stature draw wholesome comparison to the qualities for which West Point strives, in keeping with its motto: “Duty, Honor, Country.” The 2012 Distinguished Graduate Award Recipients are:

GEN (R) Crosbie E. Saint ’58

2012 Distinguished Graduate Award Recipient GEN (R) Crosbie E. Saint ’58

As an Armor officer, GEN (R) Crosbie E. Saint ’58 served two combat tours with the Americal Division in Vietnam. In Germany, he was a lieutenant on border duty when the Berlin Wall was erected and was the commander of U.S. Army Europe when it came down. After retirement, he became VP for International Operations at Military Professional Resources, advising defense ministers and chiefs of staff of 14 countries. He was a WPAOG Trustee in the late 1990s and served as President of the West Point Society of D.C. for almost eight years.

2012 Distinguished Graduate Award Recipient GEN (R) Narcisco L. Abaya ’71

After graduation, GEN (R) Narcisco L. Abaya ’71 returned to the Philippines, his native land, and eventually became Commandant of Cadets at the Philippine Military Academy in the early 1990s, overseeing integration of the first female cadets. He ended his Army career as Chief of Staff of the Philippine Army and then as Chief of Staff of the Philippine Armed Forces. After retirement, the President of the Philippines appointed him President and CEO of a government corporation with the mandate to transform former military bases to civilian use.

Distinguished Graduate Award

The Distinguished Graduate Award (DGA) is to be given to graduates of the United States Military Academy whose character, distinguished service, and stature draw wholesome comparison to the qualities for which West Point strives, in keeping with its motto: “Duty, Honor, Country.” The DGA is funded by a generous endowment from E. Doug Kenna ’45 and his wife, Jean.
