The Black Knights defeated Navy 4-1 and sang their alma mater second on April 5 at Lichtenberg Tennis Center. The match—part of the Star Series presented by USAA—gave Army a 12-9 lead in the all-sport competition. Army improves to 19-5 on the season overall and 5-0 in Patriot League play.

The Black Knights set the tone with a doubles point win, without being broken across the three doubles matches. CDTs Jenna Sabile ’25 and Julia Kelly ’25 rattled off four consecutive game wins on court No. 2 to win 6-1, before CDTs Isabella Brilliant ’26 and Madison Smith ’27 clinched the doubles point moments later on court No. 3 with a 6-2 win.

Army dropped a singles match on court No. 1 but faced little additional resistance. CDTs Jenna Sabile ’25, Vennmukiil Mathivanan ’26, and Emma Sy ’26 secured decisive wins on singles courts No. 2-4 to secure the team win.

The win snaps a three-match losing streak in Women’s Tennis star matches—albeit with a pair of postseason wins over Navy sandwiched across that stretch.

Army faces Lehigh on April 11, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at 3:00pm. The team is back at home April 13 vs. Bucknell for senior day.
