The No. 3 ranked Army West Point Men’s Lacrosse team (7-0, 3-0 Patriot League) extended its impressive 2025 campaign with a 13-4 win at Lehigh to improve to 7-0 to begin the season – the squad’s second 7-0 start since 1958.
The Black Knights’ win marks the second time the squad has earned at least 7-0 starts in back-to-back seasons since the 1953 and 1954 seasons. Army went 9-2 overall in both the 1953 and 1954 seasons.
Senior attackman CDT Jackson Eicher ’25 put on an offensive show for the Black Knights, leading the squad with a career-high six goals against the Mountain Hawks. CDTs Gunnar Fellows ’26 and Hill Plunkett ’28 tied for second on the team in points with three points each on a pair of goals and an assist.
Goalkeeper CDT Sean Byrne ’26 was a brick wall in net for Army, holding the Mountain Hawks to just four goals and logging nine saves in the contest. The showing improves Byrne to a 4.24 goals-against average to retain his place atop the national leaderboard.
Army was perfect in the clear against the Mountain Hawks, going 28-28 in Bethlehem with 11 caused turnovers for each team.
Army will return to its home field at Michie Stadium in West Point, New York for its next contest – a noon game against Boston University set for March 22.
