Cadets from the U.S. Military Academy will march in the 60th Inaugural Parade in Washington, D.C., in honor of President Donald J. Trump beginning at 12:00 PM.
Approximately 100 cadets will represent the academy in the Inaugural Parade led by First Captain Anna “Caroline” Robinson ’25 from Birmingham, Alabama. Also represented is CDT Lewis Mazikowski ’25 of Dupont, Washington, who will lead Company A4, CDT Adam Azmeh ’25 of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who will command Company E4.
The parade route runs from the intersection of Pennsylvania and Constitution Avenues and will then continue to the White House. The cadets marching in the parade were chosen by a team of evaluators based on their marching prowess and military bearing.
This is the 28th time that the Corps of Cadets has participated in the Inaugural Parade. Cadets have been taking part since March 2, 1873, the second inauguration for President Ulysses S. Grant, a West Point graduate Class of 1843.
Among those marching in the March 4, 1913, parade for President Wilson was then Cadet Dwight D. Eisenhower ’15; and, in the 1953 and 1957 parades, it was Eisenhower the cadets honored.

In the Inaugural Parade, cadets wear long gray overcoats and service caps and march ceremoniously “under arms” with crossed belts and ceremonial, non-firing rifles. The wearing of gray uniforms is a West Point tradition that dates to the early 1800s. The distinctive uniform is recognized throughout the world and has earned the Corps of Cadets the famous title “The Long Gray Line.”
