Buttons Will Be Distributed at WPAOG Army-Navy Tailgate in DC
This year’s winner of the annual WPAOG Army-Navy Button Design Contest is Kim (Sembrano) Allgor, a 2019 West Point graduate. Her button design, which features the Washington, D.C. landscape, will be produced and handed out to all attendees during the WPAOG Army-Navy Tailgate at our nation’s capital on Saturday, December 14.
“I love living in Washington, D.C., and when I heard that this year’s game was here, I knew I wanted to give this button contest a shot,” Allgor said.
Her button design features some of D.C.’s iconic landmarks, and the seven stars on the button represent the seven Army Values: loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage.
As the contest winner, Allgor will receive two complimentary tickets to the WPAOG Tailgate at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C. Although she attended four Army-Navy games as a cadet, this will be the first Army-Navy game she attends as a West Point graduate.
Allgor said she is pumped that over 1,500 fellow members of the Long Gray Line and the West Point community will be wearing the button she designed on Army-Navy Game Day.
