Home to the West Point Band, Glee Club, and Spirit Band
On October 24, in partnership with the Academy and the Directorate of Cadet Activities, WPAOG celebrated the ribbon-cutting for the renovation of Egner Hall. Synonymous with music at West Point, Egner Hall now boasts modern rehearsal spaces, a digital acoustic system, and enhanced recording capabilities.
Founded in 1817, the West Point Band is the U.S. Army’s oldest active duty band. Known for their exceptional musicianship and dedication, the band supports Army and West Point traditions, ceremonies, and community events while representing the Army’s core values through music. Their performances range from patriotic marches and classical pieces to jazz and contemporary styles, captivating audiences at West Point and across the nation. With a mission to inspire, educate, and honor, the West Point Band embodies the spirit of service, celebrating the history and pride of the United States Army.
