The Army West Point Women’s Soccer team earned its second consecutive win over Air Force on September 14 in a thrilling 4-3 come-from-behind win. This is the first time the Black Knights have accomplished this feat since 1992-93.

The game was chaotic from the beginning, with the Falcons racing out to a 2-0 lead by the 33rd minute. Then the Army offense went to work and went to work fast. CDT Brigid Duffy ’26 netted her third goal of the season in the 37th minute to make it a 2-1 game. Then, just seconds later, in the 38th minute, CDT Jordan Follenweider ’26 scored a goal, tying things up off an assist from CDT Kaelan Bradley ’25. Then, two minutes later, Duffy returned to work with her second of the night, giving Army their first lead of the game. Three goals in 3:05 are the fastest three goals in program history.

Army went into the break up 3-2. The Falcons wouldn’t go away however, tying things up at 3-3 in the 56th minute. Senior captain Kaelan Bradley wasn’t leaving Colorado without a win though. In the 63rd minute took a pass from CDT Grace Edvalds ’25 and CDT Hannah Pohlidal ’25 and slotted it home giving the Black Knights a 4-3 lead. Air Force’s best chance to tie the game came in the 79th minute, but a leaping CDT Sage Strohman ’25 made the save. Strohman was solid in net making eight saves on the night.

That would do it and Army would earn the right to sing second. The win moves head coach Tracy Chao to 4-3 in service academy matches, winning her last four. The Black Knights wrap up nonconference play with a 6-2-0 record and now look forward to a home match against American on September 20 at Malek Stadium.
