West Point Participates at Grant Wreath Laying in New York City

Several members from the U.S. Military Academy, including the U.S. Corps of Cadets Regimental Staff performing honor guard duties, the West Point Band performing Taps, West Point Military Police Color Guard firing salutary volleys, and Dean of the Academic Board BG Shane Reeves ’96 speaking and laying the wreath on behalf of President Joseph R. Biden during the Ulysses S. Grant Wreath Laying Ceremony to celebrate his 202nd birthday.

The ceremony took place on April 27 at the General Grant National Memorial in New York City. During the solemn occasion, a wreath was laid at the entrance of Grant’s tomb, honoring the legacy of the former president, Union general, and USMA Class of 1843.
