The Cadets of the Model United Nations (MUN) team traveled to San Francisco February 28 to March 4 to compete at the University of California Berkeley MUN conference (UCBMUN). The team had a strong finish, taking home an amazing seven individual awards, including a “Best Delegate” finish for plebe CDT Jonathan Weikel ’27. This was his second time earning this top honor in his first year on the team. In addition to the conference, the team also visited long-time MUN sponsors Ken ’74 and Lucy Hicks. UCBMUN Awards were presented to the following cadets:

  • Best Delegate: CDT Jonathan Weikel ’27
  • Outstanding Delegate: CDT Faith Riccobene ’26
  • Honorable Mention: CDT Evie Mongoven ’27
  • Verbal Commendation: Cadets Nathan Davis ’25, Knox Watson ’25, Adrian Bird ’26, and Thomas Welch ’27

There are nearly 120 cadet clubs at West Point including athletic, recreational, academic, religious, hobby, and diversity clubs – something for virtually every interest, made possible by donors supporting the Margin of Excellence.
