This week, West Point hosted the ACI Cyber Leaders Conference, sponsored by the Class of 1970. The support from the Class of 1970 makes it possible for West Point cadets, particularly those who’ve recently branched Cyber, to connect with experienced Army Cyber personnel at this conference.
Attendees of this year’s conference heard from several West Point graduates, including West Point Class of 1970 President Dr. Jim Sullivan, Army Cyber Institute Director COL Stephen Hamilton ’98, and BG Brian D. Vile ’94, 5th Chief of Cyber Commandant, U.S. Army Cyber School. Commanding General of the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence, MG Paul T. Stanton ’95, gave the keynote address.
The new Cyber Chair was also announced at the conference, a position endowed by the Class of 1991. LTG (R) Edward Cardon ’82 became the second Commanding General of Army Cyber Command, after the first Commanding General LTG (R) Rhett Hernandez ’76 stepped down.
Mr. John Connors ’70, Of Counsel with Bryant and Rabbino and Board Member of Friends of the American Revolution at West Point, closed out the conference.
