On Sunday, December 3, 2023, the West Point Society of Annapolis hosted a BEAT NAVY/Farewell Dinner, for the eight Class of 2025 exchange cadets assigned to the Naval Academy for the fall semester. The dinner was held at O’Brien’s in Annapolis, Maryland, and featured discussions by the cadets on their experiences at Annapolis during their semester, as well as their likes and dislikes about the USNA. Following the dinner and discussions, the eight cadets signed the WPSOA BEAT NAVY Banner, a 29-year tradition, and the attendees wished the cadets well on their upcoming trip to Massachusetts to watch the Army Football Team beat Navy.

One of the primary missions of the West Point Society of Annapolis (WPSOA) is to support and assist USMA Cadets assigned to the United States Naval Academy (USNA) as part of the Academy Exchange Program. In accomplishing this mission, the WPSOA greets the exchange cadets shortly after they arrive in the Annapolis area by hosting a welcome picnic in their honor in August. During the picnic, the exchange cadets are individually introduced to the picnic guests. Furthering mission accomplishment, the WPSOA hosts an Affirmation Ceremony and Dinner for the exchange cadets in early September, followed by monthly dinners in September, October, November, and December.
