Robert Schaffer is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the West Point Association of Graduates. He joined the WPAOG in June 2019.
Prior to joining the WPAOG, Bob was Controller at a diversified organization in NYC from 2007 – 2019 that had presences in health and fitness, digital media, licensing, and the non-profit sectors. Before that, he held positions at several accounting firms in NYC with an emphasis in business management and the arts but working across multiple disciplines, audit, financial reporting and taxes. Bob began his career as an analyst at Met Life.
Bob has served the non-profit sector as a financial advisor to the Diamond Empowerment Fund and the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation. He has also volunteered as a ski instructor to STRIDE, an organization that provides recreation programs to kids with special needs in the Hudson Valley.
Bob, a 1985 graduate of Ithaca College, is a CPA, and also has an MBAin Finance from Baruch College. He enjoys traveling, the Mets, and spending time with his family. Bob and his wife Adi live with their 2 children in Norwood, New Jersey.
