Major Gifts Officer Staci Gash ’96

Staci Slick Gash graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1996. Upon graduation she was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Her major operational assignments were in Fort Riley, Kansas and Fort Lewis, Washington. She left active duty as a captain in 2002 to command a training support company in the 3rd Battalion, 414th Infantry Regiment of the Army Reserve at Fort Lewis. Upon completing command and leaving the reserve component she has remained an active and committed volunteer within both the Army and her local community.

In 2009, Mrs. Gash accepted a position as an Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics for the University of Maryland, University College’s Asia Program in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Since her return to the United States in 2011, she has continued teaching in California and New York. Mrs. Gash became Faculty for Thayer Leadership Development Group in 2015 where she lead executive groups through leader training exposing high level leaders to West Point Leadership styles and leading with Army values. In 2019 she joined West Point Association of Graduates as a Major Gifts Officer.

Mrs. Gash holds a Master of Science degree in Geophysics from the University of Missouri, Science and Technology and is a recipient of the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal. She is married to Lieutenant Colonel Richard Gash (also USMA ’96). Together they are raising five active children. In her spare time she is an avid endurance athlete, having completed four IRONMAN triathlons, four half-Ironman triathlons and ten marathons. She earned Ironman All-World Athlete status in 2014 for her top 10% age group finish.
