Marc joined the West Point Association of Graduates as a Major Gifts Officer in 2003. His return to West Point followed a lengthy career with Corning Cable Systems (the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of fiber-optic cable) where he held numerous sales and sales management positions.
Marc earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy in 1977 and was commissioned into the Field Artillery (FA). Following graduation from Airborne School, the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course, and the Pershing Officer Course, Marc served as a Firing Platoon Leader and Operations Officer with B Battery, 3/84th FA (Pershing), and as an Assistant Battalion S-3, 3/84th FA, 56th FA Brigade in Neckarsulm, Germany. Upon return to the United States and graduation from the Field Artillery Officer Advanced Course, Marc served as the Battalion S-2, 1/7th FA, and later commanded Headquarters & Headquarters Battery, 2/5th FA, 1st Infantry Division “Big Red One”, at Ft. Riley, Kansas.
As a cadet, Marc was member of the Honor Committee, Glee Club, and the Army Football Team. He has continued his association with the Army Football program by volunteering his time as an Officer Representative. Marc also serves on the Army Sports Hall of Fame Selection Committee. His hobbies include golf, music, studying history, and visiting Civil War battlefields.
Marc and his wife, Kaki, are natives of West Hartford, Connecticut, and proud parents to three grown children (Laura, Jen, and Brandon) and five grandchildren (Caroline, Charlie, Sam, Bennett, and Lyla).
