Projects Day Research Symposium
The Projects Day Research Symposium showcases more than 400 research projects by over 1,000 Firstie cadets across all 13 of the Dean’s Academic Departments, the Department of Military Instruction, and the Department of Physical Education. Demonstrations include posters, presentations, static and dynamic displays, and questions and answer sessions. WPAOG invited guests have the opportunity to view these projects and see the impact their support has on the cadet experience.
Buffet Luncheon with the Dean of the Academic Board
Typically during this luncheon, the Dean of the Academic Board discusses academic cadet experiences and provides updates and information about the Academy. Select cadets join the Dean and speak about their Margin of Excellence experiences.

When is this event held every year?
The Donor Tribute Event is held every year in the Spring (late April/early May) in conjunction with the United States Military Academy’s Projects Day Research Symposium.
I was invited to the Wednesday night Margin of Excellence Donor Dinner last year but wasn’t invited to the Wednesday night dinner this year, why is this?
This could be for a variety of reasons but most commonly when a donor was inducted into the John J. Pershing Society last year. You need to reach the Hap Arnold Society (lifetime giving of 100K or more) to be invited to the Wednesday night dinner again. Please see the “Criteria to be Invited” tab for more information.
What is a Cullum Society Donor?
The Cullum Society was established to recognize special benefactors who have made gifts for the future of West Point and the Long Gray Line through bequests and other planned gift vehicles. Click here for more information.
