In a ceremony at the John F. Kennedy Warfare Center and School at Fort Bragg, North Carolina on April 20, MG (R) David A. Morris ’75 was inducted as a Distinguished Member of the Special Forces Regiment. He is DMOR #172.
The criteria to be selected as a Distinguished Member of the Regiment is very strict and the honor is limited to a small percentage of those who have served as “Green Berets.” Specifically, “The Distinguished and Honorary Members of the Regiment are individuals who serve or have served as ideal role models, advocates and are unwavering in their sense of pride and selfless service for today’s Special Operations Forces Soldiers. As public examples, they enhance unit morale, cohesion and Esprit-de-Corps, while promoting the war fighting ethos. The selected members have distinguished themselves through either their military service, civilian service or other significant service rendered for the betterment of their community, state, or nation. These individuals provide a historical link with the past for today’s Soldiers.”
