During the Distinguished Graduate Award/Alumni Luncheon, Mr. Wood and GEN Knowlton presented a $218,000 check to the Superintendent for the Superintendent’s Endowment.  Although this is the last gift to USMA from the Class of January 1943, their funds will provide unrestricted funds for USMA in perpetuity.  Unrestricted giving assures the Superintendent unparalleled flexibility in meeting new needs and taking advantage of unforeseen opportunities in all areas of Academy life--academics, intercollegiate athletics, co-curricular clubs, and other leader development experiences.

Previous Class gifts include support for:

-the Flight Memorial
-Trophy Point Fountain
-Constitution Corner construction and maintenance endowment
-Herbert Alumni Center Paver
-Indoor Marksmanship Center
-Bicentennial Campaign, unrestricted
-Kimsey Athletic Center Lockers (2)
-Long Gray Line Endowment

We thank the members of the Class of January 1943 for their leadership, courage and generosity for the Corps and the Corps and the Corps.
